If you like the idea of drinking beer while watching “Smokey and The Bandit” in good company, there’s no better place for you tonight than Roosevelt Ale House, which is inviting patrons to its 21st Amendment Beer Bootleg Party starting at 7.
Along with a screening of the 1977 movie, the ale house located at 8824 Roosevelt Way N.E. also will release four new beers from 21st Amendment Brewery, in addition to the three already on tap. Experts from the San Francisco brewery will be on hand to talk about its beer, and they’ll also have giveaways and other surprises — including a mustache contest.
Well, the contest certainly follows the theme of “Smokey and The Bandit,” which stars Burt Reynolds in his serious mustache days. Taking it one step further, the Auburn Trans Am Club will even showcase a replica of the Trans Am featured in the movie at the event.
