Seattle Police are seeking an “armed and dangerous” felon as the man who on Monday robbed the Moneytree check cashing service at gunpoint.
Todd R. Lucas, 45, is the man police are seeking, according to a release Thursday about the robbery at 551-B N.E. Northgate Way.
Lucas is a white male, 5-foot-10 and 180 pounds. He has blue eyes and a shaved head, police said. Lucas is considered armed and dangerous.
“If anyone sees Lucas, do not approach, but call 911 immediately. Anyone with information concerning Lucas should call the Seattle Police Department’s Robbery Unit at (206) 684-5535,” according to the police statement.
KIRO 7 TV has more details on Lucas. According to KIRO and police:
He has ties to the “Aryan Family,” a white supremacist gang formed at the Clallam Bay prison in the 1990s, according to published reports.
KIRO 7 checked into Lucas’ background and found court records for crimes including drug possession, identity theft and robbery. Corrections records show he’s served at least eight prison sentences over the past 23 years. The longest was 11 years for first-degree robbery.
