The 2010-2011 season for Seattle Public Theater at the Bathhouse doesn’t start for another month, but it pays to plan ahead.

Through Saturday, Sept. 11, tickets to the season’s opening performance, “Mauritius,” are $2 off all preview, opening night and youth tickets; and $4 off all adult and senior tickets. But these prices are only available through the box office at the theater, 7312 W. Green Lake Drive N., which is open from noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.

“Mauritius” runs Oct. 1-24, with performances at 7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. Here’s the nitty-gritty from Seattle Public Theater:

Surprisingly, stamp collecting is riskier than one might think.   Jackie and Mary are half-sisters whose mother’s death leaves them in possession of a rare stamp collection. But which sister actually owns the stamps? Which of three dealers can be trusted with their sale? Mauritius is a gripping new play from the Pulitzer-prize nominated author who’s been called a “female David Mamet.”
