UPDATE 2 p.m.: Professor Cliff Mass posts on his blog today that the area is about to get slammed again:
Another line is approaching the coast and it will hit the lowlands somewhere around 2-3 PM. In the meantime there will be some sun and mild temps. This line could be strong.
The National Weather Service has posted a “hazardous weather outlook” for heavy rains and possible thunderstorms the rest of today. Rain could reach an inch an hour.
It’s windy, too - the highest gust so far at Maple Leaf Life was 22.8 mph, shortly after 1 p.m.
But it’s not THIS windy.
This sign was spotted Sunday afternoon on Northeast 89th Street, between Roosevelt Way Northeast and 12th Avenue Northeast.
Even if it had blown down, it wouldn’t have blow east from Fifth Avenue Northeast (the wind’s been primarily a southerly).
