Today’s community resources for seniors are not designed to handle the wave of retiring Baby Boomers, whose approach to life and to aging may be quite different than that of preceding generations.

Senior Services – a comprehensive non-profit serving older adults and their families here since 1967 – invites you to participate in “Aging Your Way,” a new initiative that brings Baby Boomers and their local communities together to plan for their future.

“Aging Your Way,” to develop a vision of a community that will support seniors as they age, is coming to the Northgate Community Center, 10510 Fifth Ave. N.E., on Wednesday, Oct. 20, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jim Diers, former city director of neighborhoods, will facilitate. Food will be served.
