Thanks to all – the food bank has T-Day turkeys

The community came through.  North Helpline, the food bank that serves our area, has enough turkeys to supply Thanksgiving Day.

That’s quite an accomplishment. Just a week ago it was having a tough time finding enough birds.

In 2009, our food bank provided 750 turkeys to families in need. Due to tough economic times, this year the need is much greater. But with your help, we are confident we can distribute even more.

Thanks to all who contributed. There will be another chance – when we stopped by earlier today the staff said they’re going to need another big turkey push for Christmas.
