And still more crimes in the neighborhood

We’re continuing to get comments on Thursday’s crime report, which included the news that police arrested a car prowler in a reader’s backyard.

At the same time, the police crime map is showing two new home burglaries in the last two days, together with no fewer than eight stolen or broken-into cars.

The burglaries both occurred Thursday night, Dec. 9. One was in the 500 block of Northeast 98th Street, the other in the 9100 block of Eighth Avenue Northeast.

The stolen vehicles and car prowls (thieves break into the vehicles and steal items, but don’t take the whole car)  include:

  • A truck stolen Thursday night, Dec. 9,  from the 8800 block of 12th Avenue Northeast.
  • Another vehicle stolen Wednesday night, Dec. 8, from the 10000 block of 17th Avenue Northeast.
  • A car prowled at 6:45 Thursday morning, Dec. 9, in the 200 block of Northeast 91st Street.
  • A vehicle prowled at 8:23 Thursday morning, Dec. 9, in the 1500 block of Northeast 88th Street.
  • Four vehicles prowled Wednesday night, Dec. 8, in the 500 block of Northeast 103rd Street, in the 500 block of Northeast 100th Street,  in the 300 block of Northeast Northgate Way and in the 10600 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.
