“Why is there a helicopter flying low over my neighborhood?”
That’s the headline in a state Department of Health FAQ letting folks know that, starting Monday, a helicopter will buzz overheard. 
But not far overhead. Only about 300 feet. That’s about the height of a 30-story building.
The chopper is measuring background radiation levels for the U.S. Department of Energy’s Remote Sensing Laboratory Aerial Measurement System. (Whew.)
The FAQ answers the obvious question:
This project isn’t related to the disaster in Japan. It began in September 2009, well before the earthquake in Fukushima. The helicopter flyover is part of a multi-phase project to improve our state readiness to respond to radiation emergencies.
This project is looking for radioactive material that exists in our environment. The survey isn’t focused on radioactive material from Japan. The amount of material from Japan was extremely low and will not be detected by equipment on the helicopter.
The helicopter’s equipment can detect the presence of radioactive materials that emit gamma radiation such as cesium and radioactive iodine. The baseline would be used in the event of a radiation emergency to compare radioactive contamination to the normal levels found during this study.

yeah,how convenient that they get their baseline background readings during waves of Fukushima fallout already on & in everything including our bodies! Makes it even easier for the pro-industry public safety agencies to milk the deep pockets of their favorite cash cow while “they” also reap the benefits associated with the untold no. of deaths & revised life expectancies boost the economy while allowing them to further dip into Social Security funds like it was their piggy bank now that many would-be retired folks aren’t expected to live long enough to ever see their pensions & Social Security benefits thanks to their handiwork. While it might not be yet another “conspiracy theory”-it’s still sickening knowing that there’s anyone upbeat about the likelihood of massive deaths via the delay between exposure & the onset of terminal illness which allows them to continue putting the public at risk without being held accountable for their actions or their lame response to an ELE suspiciously absent from main stream media reporting. I’m so sure people in the NW USA feel so much better seeing those helicopters flying overhead~they’ll be “reassured” even further when armed,HAZMAT suited men show up at their door stating “Hello,we’re from the Govt. and we’re here to help you”{?}!!
