” A number of other neighborhoods do… Thanks. ”

We are just now starting to think about Halloween, to be truthful (but we still have our 8-foot posable bat. From Costco, of course).

How about it, Maple Leaf businesses? What are your plans for Halloween/Samhaim? It falls on a Monday this year….

Also, start sending us nominations for best-decorated house!

  1. Oh, and as far as businesses go; in my experience, there hasn’t been a coordinated effort to have a Halloween/Trrick-or-Treat event. I’d like to see one. Sometimes we take the kids along Roosevelt to show off costumes at our regular haunts.

Olympic View Elementary School has a decent Halloween carnival that’s kid friendly.

The Licton Springs community also hosts a Trick-or-Treat early on Halloween that is especially good for the younger set.

  2. We’re working up some Halloween cheer at our house this year. It seems like most trick-or-treaters (tots) go up and down 8th. Usually, we only get 3-5 tots that we don’t know on our side street. Of course most people on our street don’t decorate much, so it’s kind of circular/self-fulfilling. We’re starting to decorate and put a few things out. Hopefully we can finish all of our projects in time.

  3. Cool to see my house on the site again – though I I haven’t got my decorations up yet this year….so behind – thanks,

  4. Most Community Centers offer something, this from Northgate CC
    Toddler Halloween Play Time
    Ages 6 months – 5 years
Here’s a Halloween treat both kids and parents will enjoy!
Bring the little ones dressed in their Halloween costumes for
a special toddler play time! We’ll have all the trikes, scooters,
bounce houses, balls and more for the kids to enjoy along
    with a special Halloween treat!
    10/28 fri 5-8pm $3 per child
Churches also offer fun Halloween parties.

  5. Why don’t you concern yourself about Christmas instead of celebrating the devil’s holiday? While you are at it, close down the halal market too! You do realize, don’t you that halal meat is bled to death? Where is PETA when you need them?
