Attack reported on jogger at Green Lake

Update: The Seattle Times is now reporting on four attacks on women in north Seattle.

Police report that a woman jogger at Green Lake was attacked about 6:30 a.m. today.

She stated that an unknown man grabbed her near Wallingford Avenue North and Green Lake Drive North and tried to pull her into the bushes. The woman was able to break free of the suspect and he took off running northbound. Reportedly, a bicyclist in the area saw the suspect running and attempted to follow the suspect. The bicyclist lost sight of the suspect in a residential area and gave up the chase.

The victim was not injured. The suspect was described as a white male, possibly in his twenties, 5-foot-7 to 5-foot-8, with a medium build, short brown hair and wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt or jacket, and dark pants.

  1. I have to think that the three recent assaults in three days are related (there was also one at Wallingford and 85th). Are the police declining to make a connection? It sounds like the same suspect.
