Sun before a week of wind, rain

The sun is out at 10 a.m, but the forecast is for heavy rain this afternoon. There is a wind advisory in effect from noon until midnight, which could cause power outages.

Cliff Mass says “the heavens are about to open up over the Northwest as a persistent moist southwesterly flow will bring a series of very wet systems into the region.”

  1. Comcast is back up, but moving at slower than DSL pace.

Speaking of rain…I would like to thank Ryan Manning of Seattle Public Utilities for responding to a request about and seeing an effective repair made to the street drain on the SW corner at NE 105th and Roosevelt.

The stormwater now goes down the drain as it should and does not cause scour, erosion, flooding or debris on either 9th NE or NE 105th, as had been the case.

    Thanks, SPU!

  2. When you have a virtual monopoly you can do whatever you want at whatever pace you want. What are people going to do when there is no other choice but to take whatever Comcast offers? Move out of Seattle?

  3. Speaking of wind – has anyone else lost Comcast cable and internet? Ours has been out since about 10pm last night. Just wondering if its the whole area or something just with our house connection.
