Is any of this stuff yours?
Since we’ve had a few comments about crime recently, we’re letting people know that the King County Sheriff’s Office has recovered dozens (and dozens) of items stolen in burglaries over 18 months.
The items were stolen between January 2012 and July 2013, according to a news story by our partners The Seattle Times.
Two people were arrested in connection with the burglaries, which stretched from Mill Creek to Tigard, Ore.
You can see photos (13 pages worth) of the recovered items here. The password is SammamishPD and is case sensitive.

I’m glad they caught these criminals. Whenever somebody says the criminals “just need more resources,” I say “they just need 10 years at hard labor.”
Well, I now know where all my Sharpies have been going.
Apparently using something other than light rail to get to and from the burglaries.
Netted over $300K, three years in jail…hmm.
This has been going for a very long time. My house was first (successfully) broken into in 1991 and the police told me, “your home is just an ATM machine to these people”. Second time was in 2003 and they said the same thing. For all I know, these two that just got caught are the children of the crooks that robbed my place!
There is very very little about these criminals, aka ‘the New Victims of Society”. Seems like someone that was funding drug habits by breaking into peoples home and stealing their things would draw more public awareness. Typical of these victimless crimes nowdays I guess.
Any idea where we can find the names and pics of the people arrested for this?
Editor: The names are in the Times piece, but I’m not clear on photos. “In January, Krystal Sweetman, 27, of Puyallup, pleaded guilty to multiple charges and was sentenced to 36 months in prison and 36 months in community custody. Steven Tipton, 27 of Tacoma, is the other suspect and remains in custody.”
