Australian Shepherd found in Maple Leaf today

Posted by Mike on July 11th, 2014

Noon update: Home now.

The Maple Leaf Veterinary Care Center emails:

“I’m forwarding an email regarding a good Samaritan who found an Australian shepherd wandering in the Maple Leaf area.

“If you could please post this on the blog in the hopes the owner will see him and bring him home that would be much appreciated.”

Other information: blue eyes, 19 pounds. Found this morning at Northeast 80th Street and Fourth Avenue Northeast.

Thank goodness!! He is s the dog I am dog-sitting for my friend. Please let me know where I can pick him up, and I will be there immediately.

Thanks to Maple Leaf Veterinary Care Center and the very sweet and alert lady in my neighborhood who grabbed him when he appeared to head for the freeway, this puppy dog is back where he belongs. :) :) This is a miracle. I’m so grateful.

I saw a small, long-haired gray Australian shepherd mix today, at 97th and 12th. S/he looks really scared and was scavenging for food but ran away toward 15th Ave NE when I tried to approach. Maybe you have heard something. Didn’t get a picture.
MLL: That would likely (hopefully) be a different dog.
