“A tree between the sidewalk and the street broke off, crashing over the white metal fence along the stairwell, breaking it, and crashing into the second floor condo deck, seriously damaging the deck fencing.”

This occurred around 8:30 last night at First Avenue Northeast and Northeast 95th Street. Photo and report from Bob Junell.

Nearly 53,000 lost power overnight, many just east of Maple Leaf on the other side of Lake City Way Northeast. Wind at Maple Leaf Life South guested between 30-40 mph.

BTW, that Subaru was reported stolen to Seattle Police well over a week ago.

(Sorry, joeblow.)

The storm is coming in from the south; more than 32,000 66,000 have already lost power outside Portland.

  1. As long as it’s not a storm such as hit Seattle in December of 2006.

That poor woman who drowned in the basement of the house she and her partner shared, was as bad as it gets. Losing power is small stuff, when compared to something such as that.
