This morning at the park. Thanks to John Wolff for cleaning up the last graffiti – and giving directions for how he did it.

  1. “Anyone know if this is a gang sign?”

No, it’s not. Generally, tags are almost never gang-related.

  2. If it becomes habitual, hopefully the detective (Det. Chris Young) at the SPD becomes aware of it. He knows many of the taggers, the signs, etc.

  3. This is a job for the pros. Call the graffiti hotline, 684-PKUP 684-7587. There is a product called Elephant Snot (really) formulated for stuff like this — rock, masonry, porous surfaces, hose pressure cleanup — but I don’t have any.
Please call the graffiti hotline anytime you see anything — although they’ve lately been spray-painting grey over tags that could’ve been removed no-trace with solvents. Painting over this new concrete, for example, would be a bad idea.
