Update 4:24 p.m. @ALL At 3pm our dog Mugi has been returned to us by Seattle Animal Shelter!! Thanks to all that kept an eye out for her.

Jeff emails overnight:

Our 13-year-old yellow Lab mix named Mugi found her way out of our fenced back yard last night (Northeast 98th Street and Eighth Avenue Northeast) at a little after midnight and is now missing.

She did not have her normal collar on and due to her age her hind legs are weak, and she can’t travel far. We have combed all around her normal walking route and nothing so far. She is very friendly.

I have attached a recent picture of her.

Please call 206.601.5088 if you see her.

Thank you.

  1. @ALL At 3pm our dog Mugi has been returned to us by Seattle Animal Shelter!! Thanks to all that kept and eye out for here.

  2. @Merilyn – Thanks for the call this morning. Could you ascertain which direction they were walking (N,S?) Our family has been walking/driving all around the neighborhood most of the morning (102st to 85th along 8th, and Roosevelt) . We have put up 25-30 flyers at high traffic locations, but nothing yet.

  3. 2 guys knocked on my door this morning with a dog that matched this description. It was 5:15am. I was not sure what to make of it, but I have called Jeff. Looks like the dog is around. They were 2 guys. One was African American, tall. The other was Asian, about 5’8″.

  4. Dogs find 4th of July traumatic. Just one more reason for banning private fireworks within the city. Hope your dog turns up.
