15th Avenue bridge in Maple Leaf to close May 17

The 15th Avenue Northeast bridge over Thornton Creek is now set to close on Monday, May 17, the Seattle Department of Transportation announced today.

The bridge, at Northeast 105th Street, will remain closed for 11 months, sending all north- and southbound vehicles, bicycles and pedestrians to Roosevelt Way Northeast, Lake City Way Northeast or Northeast Northgate Way.

Local access on 15th Avenue NE north of the work area (between NE 106th and Northgate Way) will be maintained. Drivers must access this area from Northgate Way.

Local access on 15th Avenue south of the work area (to Northeast 104th Street) will be maintained. Drivers must access this area from Lake City Way.
