We’ve had several people ask when the annual “Maple Leaf Garage Sale” will be this year.
The answer is, in a little over a week, on Saturday Aug. 14.
The community sale is organized by Linda Dorgan and Susan Heller, both John L. Scott Realtors. They advertise the event on Craig’s List, make neighborhood maps to pass out and print signs for those participating. They announced the date in their summer newsletter, the Maple Leaf Community Connection.
E-mail them for more information. Heller e-mailed us on Wednesday that “the response for the Maple Garage Sale has been slower than for other years. So right now, we are waiting to see who will sign up.”
A different kind of event is scheduled for tomorrow, Friday Aug. 6. The “Baby Sale” – “new and gently used baby clothes and much more” – is at a home on Northeast 91st Street between Eighth Avenue Northeast and Roosevelt Way Northeast.
The “baby sale” is two mothers having a yard sale made up of baby and maternity items.
Just received the email that Math N Stuff is also having a big sale at their Activity Annex, 9212 Roosevelt Way NE (old Napa auto parts store), from Monday, August 23rd through Sunday, August 29th, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Items at least 25 percent off.
