The Roosevelt Ale House is calling all its Facebook fans to vote for it for “Best Neighborhood Bar” for KING/5’s “Evening Magazine.” And as of Tuesday morning, the Maple Leaf watering hole located at 8824 Roosevelt Way N.E. is in the lead.
Maple Leaf’s Cooper’s Alehouse, 8065 Lake City Way N.E., also is in the running. Who will you vote for? Cast your vote for the Roosevelt Ale House here or for Cooper’s Alehouse here.
Maple leaf has so many excellent places of business, I agree it’s hard to choose just one. Last night I just visited Hudson for the first time and it is also great. And while not technically a “bar,” I have always loved Maple Leaf Grill, not only for the food and drink, but for the special people that work there.
It’s too hard to vote for one! It’s a three way tie for me, so I will have to skew the poll and vote three times. In random order they are:
1) Cooper’s – because they have the best selection of beers on tap
2) Roosevelt Ale House – because their bottle beer selection is great and they have good food that is beyond typical bar food
3) The Reservoir aka ‘The Res” – because it is a classic dive bar and has a shuffle board table.
Thanks, B. I meant to add that but I believe I might have been blogging much too early in the morning. It’s in the post now.
Wouldn’t a link to the King poll be appropriate here? Something like:
