The National Weather Service has issued a short-term forecast alleging the heavy rain will end soon – perhaps by 9 a.m.
The showers will continue, though, through tonight, before the sun peeks through Thursday and Friday.
This weekend? So far it looks like a return to rain by Saturday evening.
