A new performance kicks off this weekend at Northwest Puppet Center, 9123 15th Ave. N.E., called “Love for Three Oranges”:

Driven mad by a curse, Prince Tartaglia sets off on a wild journey to search the world for his beloved fruit!  He encounters the evil witch Fata Morgana, is rescued by the good witch Celia and barely escapes becoming lunch of the giantess cook.  Finally, when Tartaglia thinks he has found the Orange Princess of his dreams, she turns into a rat!  How will the madness end?

The performance takes place at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday from Dec. 11-19. Tickets cost $10.50 for adults; $9 for seniors; and $8.50 for children.
