Peter wrote us today to tell us about two car prowls in the 300 block of Northeast 82nd Street.

“Just wanted to report two car burglaries last night around 3 a.m.  The alarm of one car was set off and then about a half hour later another car was hit no more than 20 yards down the street.”

Those are so new they aren’t yet showing up on the city’s crime map. But since our last car crimes report the map does show the following crimes.

Vehicles were stolen on:

  • Thursday night, Jan. 13, from the 8200 block of 16th Avenue Northeast.
  • Saturday night, Jan. 8, from the 8500 block of Fifth Avenue Northeast.
  • Thursday night, Jan. 6, from the 10500 block of 24th Avenue Northeast.

Vehicles were broken into on:

  • Wednesday night, Jan. 12, in the 1000 block of Northeast 89th Street.
  • Saturday night, Jan. 8, in the 1200 block of Northeast 88th Street, and early that morning in the 500 block of Northeast 97th Street.

In addition, a home was burglarized Monday or Tuesday, Jan. 10 or 11. A Mac laptop and house key were stolen from the 8000 block of Brooklyn Avenue Northeast.
