Bad morning gets worse – woman hit by car on Roosevelt

As this morning’s horrendous traffic was clearing from the near-closure of Interstate 5 southbound, a female pedestrian was struck by a car at Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast 108th Street.

KIRO tweeted this photo. Lanes are blocked northboundOne lane of Roosevelt is blocked in either direction.

The victim has life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The accident occurred shortly before 10 a.m. and was near Northgate Mall, which is also where this morning’s collision of two trucks shut down traffic on I-5.
