Officials may have arrested the “F-Bomb Bandit” who robbed an Alaska USA Federal Credit Union here last week.
“I’ve got good news. Just two minutes ago I got a message the FBI has caught her,” Dan McCue, senior vice-president for corporate administration at the credit union headquarters, said Wednesday afternoon.
Not so fast, the local FBI office said.
“I do have a notice here that some individual has been detained,” said Special Agent Fred Gutt. “But we’re still investigating and can’t say anything more at this time.”
He indicated an update could be coming soon. McCue said he couldn’t share more about the information the credit union received.
The F-Bomb Bandit, so named because of her salty language, is believed to have struck five times in the last eight weeks, most recently at the credit union, which is located in the QFC at Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast Northgate Way.
