Crime returned from its holiday this weekend, led by a credit union robbery Saturday afternoon.
The mask at the bottom of the map, near Roosevelt Way Northeast and Northeast 75th Street, is the police website symbol for “robbery-bank-bodyforce.”
Details were not readily available on Sunday, but the accompanying police report says the robbery occurred at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, in the 7300 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast.
That is the location of the Alaska USA Federal Credit Union inside the Safeway store on Roosevelt Way. It was last robbed toward the end of June.
Also visible on the map are a home burglary about 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, in the 9800 block of Eighth Avenue Northeast, and a car prowl about 5:30 p.m. Aug. 7 in the 300 block of Northeast 97th Street.
