Get your cheesesteak on for lunch tomorrow

Posted by Mai Ling on November 9th, 2010

Two new street food vendors are venturing to the Maple Leaf neighborhood starting with Erik’s Philly Cheesesteak & Hot Dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Washington Dental Building, just south of Thornton Place at 9706 Fourth Ave.

We couldn’t find a website for Erik’s, possibly because it’s too new, but the Washington Dental Service’s Mobile Lunch Schedule says it will be serving Philly cheesesteak sandwiches for $5 and hot dogs ranging from $3 to $5.

And you’re invited back from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, when Hot Cakes Confections will be parked outside the building, serving gourmet desserts as well as take-and-bake cakes.

As exciting as all these new food options are, don’t forget about Maple Leaf’s brick-and-mortar restaurants, too. Check out what your neighbors have to say about the ones you have yet to visit, or rate your favorite and not-so-favorite eateries yourself on our Food & Drink page.
