Two new street food vendors are venturing to the Maple Leaf neighborhood starting with Erik’s Philly Cheesesteak & Hot Dogs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Washington Dental Building, just south of Thornton Place at 9706 Fourth Ave.
We couldn’t find a website for Erik’s, possibly because it’s too new, but the Washington Dental Service’s Mobile Lunch Schedule says it will be serving Philly cheesesteak sandwiches for $5 and hot dogs ranging from $3 to $5.
And you’re invited back from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, when Hot Cakes Confections will be parked outside the building, serving gourmet desserts as well as take-and-bake cakes.
As exciting as all these new food options are, don’t forget about Maple Leaf’s brick-and-mortar restaurants, too. Check out what your neighbors have to say about the ones you have yet to visit, or rate your favorite and not-so-favorite eateries yourself on our Food & Drink page.Tweet
