Grace emails about a cat found under a tarp near Northeast 82nd Street and Latona Avenue.

“It’s a female ash gray tabby. Probably under one year. About 10-12 pounds. Very, very affectionate and sweet. No fear of approaching humans and doesn’t seem to be freaked out by the dog. She very much wants to find her indoor home.”

If you know this cat, please  call either 206-265-3405 or 206-853-8562.

  1. Cat founds its home! Thanks Hank but he came from 2nd Ave. Fortunately he was chipped, but no collar (at least none on him) and we never saw signs posted in the neighborhood. I understand he was gone a month and the owners had given up hope. It took two of us to get him in the cage, and once his address was found the new “adopted” family kept him safe till the owners called.

  2. I think I have seen this cat before when I was walking my dogs…I believe it might belong to the people living at the house at Latona and 88th (302 NE 88th)? I had seen them chase after it once when it escaped outside after having been recently spayed. Not sure it’s the same cat, but theirs was definitely a gray, female tabby <1 year.

  3. Gosh no kidding on the collar. Really! I know some cats hate them though. Still, it makes it much easier to return them. There is always a chance that it broke off if the cat got stuck.

  4. Just a reminder to pet owners that it’s MUCH easier to get your pets back to you if you simply put a phone number on a tag on their collar.. Just sayin! Saves a drive to a vet that can scan the microchip etc..

  5. You can take her to many vets who will scan for a chip. We’ve done that twice now with lost kitties and it works pretty well.
