Maple Leaf has its fair share of watering holes, but only one is participating in the citywide celebration dedicated to beer: Hudson New American Public House, 8014 15th Ave. N.E.

As part of Seattle Beer Week, the year-old restaurant and pub is holding a brunch event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday called the Brett Brunch, so named for the yeast that is used to make the sour ales that will be paired with a special brunch menu prepared by chef Nicole Burrows.

Her three-course meal will be served with four sour ales from Russian River, Cascade, New Belgium and Jolly Pumpkin.

Seattle Beer Week kicks off Thursday at Hale’s Brewery in Fremont, which you can read more about on our sister site Fremont Universe. Another partner blog, My Ballard, outlines further festivities.

If you want to stay in the neighborhood, though, make your reservation at Hudson quick. The Brett Brunch already is half-full.
